Moving to Mandeville, LA
Originally settled to use for its agricultural resources in the mid 1800s, Mandeville eventually became a cultural hot spot well loved for its laid back feel compared to the city (New Orleans). As New Orleans residents would travel to Mandeville to escape the city, they brought with them many cultural components of daily life in New Orleans, including Jazz music, culinary styles, and remnants of the Victorian era. One of these remnants was visible in the very way New Orleanians traveled to Mandeville in the late 1800s - the Steamboat!
Today, Mandeville is a unique city located on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain. With great dining, shopping, and recreational opportunities, Mandeville is a great place to call home.
