Tulane Joins Big East in 2014
The NCAA collegiate conferences are mixing up again and this time it's hitting closer to home. Tulane University will be joining the Big East Conference for the 2014-15 season for all sports. Say goodbye to Conference USA and hello to the Big East.
The Green Wave will be in good company. Many teams from C-USA joined the Big East back in 2005 when Cincinnati, DePaul, Louisville, Marquette and South Florida moved over for basketball.
Then there's the direct Tulane connection with the Big East in president Scott Cowen. Cowen played football for the UConn Huskies and "I would say on a personal level, as someone who was born and raised in New Jersey, who was a student-athlete at a Big East school, I've always been looking for the bridge between the Big East and New Orleans."
We at Hug-Condon wish Tulane a great farewell tour next season and look forward to new relationships and benefits that comes with the Big East conference.
