REUSE YOUR MOVING BOXES

One of the most frustrating things about cleaning up after a move is deciding what to do with all the moving boxes you used. Tossing them in the trash isn't great for the environment, but luckily, there are many ways you can reuse your moving boxes. You can opt to recycle them, but there are also a number of useful things you can do with them around the house.
Storage:
The most obvious way to reuse your moving boxes is by using them to set up a better storage system. There are many things you might not want to have out around the house throughout the year, but still want to keep, like seasonal decorations, tools, book and magazine collections, and more. Use your old moving boxes to keep these items organized and safe.
Kids' play items:
A fun way to reuse these items is by letting your kids play with them. Cardboard boxes make perfect props for a wide variety of make-believe games. For example, a cardboard box can be transformed into a fort, a castle, a sailboat, and more. You can also use them for arts and crafts by cutting them up and painting them. These games are a great way to get kids away from the TV or video games.
Shipping:
If you like to ship packages to friends and family, keep some of your boxes and use them instead of getting new ones at the post office. These will come in particularly handy when shipping holiday and birthday presents to people far away.
Pets:
Dogs and cats love having new spaces to explore and play in. Leave a box in your pet's play area to see if they enjoy playing hide and seek or even napping in it. Cardboard boxes also make great scratching posts for cats - just cut them up and hang them in places where your cat normally likes to scratch on the walls or furniture.
These are just a few of the many creative ways you can reuse your moving boxes. Instead of throwing them away, keep them around - you never know when they are going to come in handy.
